The dedication of the official memorial statue to Toto in Hollywood was held June 2011. This wonderful event was possible because of Mr. JP Myers’s efforts to raise awareness for the need to recognize Toto, and Mr. Tyler Cassity’s work to help raise the funds, choose the sculptor Roman Gal to create Toto’s statue, and donate a location at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to dedicate a memorial for Toto, the world’s most famous Cairn Terrier.

If you want to learn about or donate to the Memorial Statue Fund for Toto’s Memorial and the statue’s maintenance online you can do that by clicking on the fundrazr tab at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Toto-Canine-Movie-Star-Memorial-Marker/122059101185330.

When you visit Hollywood Forever Cemetery, the memorial marker for Toto is on the side of the mausoleum that holds the remains of Rudolph Valentino. It faces the path that encircles the Douglas Fairbanks mausoleum and reflecting pool. The statue looks directly towards the back of the Paramount Studios that border the cemetery. There will be a wall erected behind Toto’s memorial on the side of the large mausoleum next to Toto that will be used for pet memorials. Sadly, due to California laws and regulations for cemeteries, pets may not be interred on human burial grounds. The Hollywood Forever Cemetery will allow you to purchase a memorial space on the pet wall to place names and remembrances of beloved pets. A portion of your purchase fees will be donated to feral cat spay/neuter programs and programs for the care and placement of Hollywood’s feral cats.
